Pello is attractive to demanding fitness skiers and weekend hobbyists alike because its extensive ski trail network offers a suitable route alternative for each and every level of ability.

Pello is also home to a winter sports centre Ritavaara that meets FIS standards. Ritavaara is a particularly interesting option for skiers looking for early snow because its trail network is usually covered by a skiable blanket of snow much sooner than the area’s other trails.
