Kojamon Kiusaus is an annual sculpturing event held in Pello, Finland at the beginning of summer, bringing together the best experts in the field from Nordic countries for a friendly competition.

The sculptors carve giant logs from local supplier Pellopuu for their material, which makes for some exhilarating sculptures.

This event, organized in the beautiful Tornio river valley in western Lapland, is free to the public.

As Pello, located along the salmon-rich Tornio river, is the official fishing capital of Finland, the theme of the 2022 competition was fishing. Next time the even will take place in summer 2024:  the theme and exact dates for 2024 will be announced later.

You can find more information about the event from their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/kojamonkiusaus/
