The large and very beautiful Jaipaljukka rock formation was created by melting glaciers and tectonic plate movements towards the end of the Ice Age. A signposted nature trail about 4 km in length begins outside Pello some 10 km in the direction of Rovaniemi. This unique Ice Age rock formation in Finnish Lapland is really worth visiting!
