Lieutenant Colonel Ragnar Nordström used a small cave on Ratasvaara hill as a hideaway after the Second World War. Ragnar Nordström was exiled in Stockholm in 1945-48 for political reasons. The scenic trail lies in the vicinity of the Arctic Circle, about 30 km south from center of Pello in Finnish Lapland. Choose between the longer 3 km route or the shorter, but more challenging 500-meter ascent.
